Sydney dominated large passages of the game but just couldn't keep their noses in front after being up at the break. Segecic was excellent, netting a double while the likes of Ouahim and Costa caused plenty of issues for the United midfield and defence. Klimala had plenty of chances but just couldn't find a way into the back of the net! A trip to Adelaide awaits next weekend.
Western United will be mighty happy with that win. Even though he conceded three goals, Matthew Sutton was superb in goal for United. He had ample quality saves throughout the match! Up front, Walatee and Thurgate were excellent while Leonard and Imai were solid at the back. They head over the ditch next weekend to take on Auckland FC.
A brilliant contest with a grandstand finale as there were goals at both ends in a senstaional attacking clash at Allianz! After being down at the break, United found a leveller early with a strike from Walatee! They took the lead with Bozinovski showing determination inside the box to before Grant slotted a great header to tie things up again. But it was Ruhs finding the winner for United as he latched onto a long ball from Lauton who had just come onto the park!

Redmayne sends it forward from deep. It bobbles around off the lids in midfield. Sydney bring it under control and work it right! Down the sideline before dragging it out again. Lauton turns it over! He slams it off the right looking for Redmayne off the line. The keeper sends it back through the middle.

Sydney look to drive a ball up the left which is deflected into touch near halfway. Gurd throws in quickly as they switch back to the right. Pushed through the middle but United win the turn over. Grimaldi brings down a long ball on the right! The ball comes off the right! Ruhs lets it go as Danzaki is in space on the left! Redmayne is out quickly to smother it on the shot!
