Ufuk Talay will be running back to the bus elated with the draw after it was looking dire late. Costa had a brilliant second half and was involved in both goals. After a sustained period on attack early in the second half, Sydney conceded and then looked to go off the boil until that late comeback. Ouahim and Caceres again had strong games for the Sky Blues. There is an injury concern for Joe Lolley who left the field early but they will be hoping he is fit for match against Melbourne Victory next Saturday.
The Reds were under the pump early in the second half before against the run of play Goodwin netted his second. The game looked to be drawing to an uneventful close before Adelaide fell apart at the back late! The ball in from the right from Costa found the back of the net while his corner delivery saw Courtney-Perkins rise above and steal a point! Carl Veart will be absolutely fuming that his side conceded those two late goals, throwing away what looked like a certain victory. The good work from Goodwin, Folami and Mauk all came apart late and you can bet there will be words about it during the week as they prepare for the Wanderers next weekend.
