That brings this commentary to an end. Thank you so much for joining us for Tribe's coverage of Melbourne Victory vs Central Coast Mariners. We'll see you next time for more A-League action.
After trailing by 2 goals at half-time, Mariners' boss Jackson made 3 changes for the 2nd half, with little effect. Victory still had the greater possession (60% - 40%), and Mariners failed to muster a single shot after the break (they'd only managed 1 in the 1st half!) Victory's dominance was rewarded with a 3rd goal in the 2nd minute of injury time, when Machach fired a brilliant shot into the top corner from 25 yards out. It could've been more for Victory, but it ends 3 - 0, and their play-off ambitions are very much alive.
Full-time and an absolutely dominant win by Melbourne Victory. They lost last year's final to the Mariners, but this victory will feel a little bit like revenge, potentially ending the defending champions' unlikely pursuit of the play-offs.
90+4'
Almost a fourth, with the cutback to Vergos forcing a last-ditch tackle, which blocks his effort at goal, and the 'keeper gathers.
90+2'
What a strike! The corner is half-cleared, but Victory keep possession around the penalty box. The ball is played into the middle to Machach 25 yards out, who spins and hits an incredible shot into the top-left corner of goal. The 'keeper got his fingers to that, but there's no stopping it.

Should be 3-0 but that's a fantastic save! Mariners are caught playing out from the back again, with Rodrigues winning the ball 25 yards out, before playing it left to Vergos inside the box. He shoots first time towards the left of goal, but the 'keeper makes a terrific save to push it around the post. Corner to Victory on their left.
88'
Victory almost work the counter, but Rodrigues slips at the wrong moment 35 yard from goal, and Mariners clear.
