For Adelaide United, they will look to bounce back in their next home game against Macarthur FC. Brisbane Roar, on the other hand, face an away trip to fellow strugglers Perth Glory. Thanks for joining Tribe for this coverage. Quickly switch tabs as Western United v. Wellington Phoenix is currently underway in it's second half. Until next time, this is Sanil Karan signing off.
Adelaide had their chances to retake the lead, but their finishing was lacking in the final third. Despite continued pressure, including efforts from their attacking players such as Goodwin and Yull, the final ball often went astray or was well-defended by Brisbane. The home side also struggled with the heat, with their tempo slowing down as the match wore on. Their quest for the Premiers now seems to be all but over. For Brisbane, the point earned is a step in the right direction, but they will feel they could have come away with all three points, especially after their strong second-half performance. The draw allows them to continue building some momentum, but they remain at the foot of the ladder and will need to improve their form in the coming weeks if they are to escape it. Overall, it was a well-fought game that ended in a fair draw, with both teams showing moments of quality but ultimately unable to claim the full spoils.
In the second half, Brisbane came out with a renewed sense of urgency, and they found their equalizer through substitute Jacob Brazete, who had an immediate impact on the game. The young forward picked up a loose ball on the edge of the box and curled it past Adelaide's goalkeeper, Delianov, into the top right corner, bringing Brisbane level. Brazete’s goal was a fine piece of individual skill, and it highlighted the potential of Brisbane’s young talent as they looked to press for a late winner. However, despite their efforts, the visitors couldn't find a way to break down Adelaide’s defence again.
It is honours even at the final whistle as Adelaide and Brisbane played out a draw in sweltering conditions. The match was an entertaining contest, with both teams having their moments, and it was Adelaide who looked the more likely to take control, especially in the first half. They made their possession count in added time when Harry Crawford, a standout young talent, unleashed a brilliant strike from outside the box that nestled in the top corner, sending Adelaide into the break with a slender advantage. The goal seemed to put the home side in the driver’s seat as they dominated possession, but Brisbane were resolute in defence and dangerous on the counter.

Pierias charges forward on the right, delivering a well-placed cross into the box. Hingert is quick to clear the danger, but Goodwin, trying to follow up, misses his shot completely with an air swing. The ball then ricochets off a defender, and the opportunity is blocked away, leaving Adelaide frustrated.
90+6'
CLOSE! Hingert plays a clever pass to Brazete inside the left of the box, and the young substitute shows great composure as he turns away from two defenders. He lines up a shot aimed at the bottom right corner, and it’s a real effort, but it just curls wide of the post. That was a golden opportunity for Brisbane to snatch a late winner.
90+5'
Kikianis makes a powerful run all the way into the left side of the box, looking to create an opportunity for Adelaide, but he’s dispossessed by the defending Brisbane players. In his attempt to win back possession, Kikianis fouls Klein, giving away a free kick to Brisbane.
