That is all we have time for on Tribe, as Australia snatched a point late on in Bahrain. I have been Elliot Thompson, and thank you for joining me. Stay with us on Tribe for some live Nations League coverage taking place now as Hungary are facing Germany!
So that point moves Australia outright into second place on seven points however, they are just one ahead of China, who sit at the bottom of the group. It is that tight, which makes it all the more exciting. Bahrain moved up to fifth thanks to that point, as they have a better goal difference than China. All this drama for the 2026 World Cup will now take a break and come back in March of next year.
This game in the first half looked too big for Bahrain as, after such a catastrophic start, they didn't lay a finger on Australia. However, in the second half, Dragan Talajic brought on Hasan, and he did the business. His first goal was simply unbelievable, as from around 45 yards out, he curled the ball up and over Ryan perfectly. Then, two minutes later, he got on the end of a rebound for a tap-in after Matthews hit his post. It looked like they had won the game for Bahrain, but just a slight lapse of concentration at the end meant three points turned into only one. Talajic cannot complain though, after how poor they were in the first hour of this one.
THE POINTS ARE SHARED AFTER A BREATHTAKING LAST 15 MINUTES! Australia looked like they were going to cruise to a simple win after a fantastic start. They scored 38 seconds from the kick-off when Yengi latched onto an awful back pass from Baqer. He took it around Luftalla on the left side of the area before firing it home. After that, not a lot happened in the first half, with barely any goalmouth action. The second half followed that same pattern until Dragan Talajic made an inspired change, bringing on Mahdi Abduljabbar Hasan. He scored a quickfire brace to turn the game on its head. Australia remained calm, though and got their equaliser through Yengi yet again. A cross from Hrustic searching for Borello fell to his feet. On the turn, Yengi fired under Luthalla with his left foot. In a fairly drab overall game, the drama at the end was seriously unexpected. Both sides arguably deserved a point, which doesn't do much for them in the grand scheme of things.

Caceres aimlessly hits a pass forward, looking for Yengi, but Al Shamsan does enough to clear it. Souttar picks up the loose ball and finds Geria, who carries it forward. He passes infield to Hrustic, who tries to switch it back over to Geria. On the right side of the box, he can only watch it fly over his head.

Al-Khulasi is down after the goal, needing treatment in his box. VAR take a long time to check the goal over, but the referee confirms it is ok. Al-Khulasi is holding his leg still down, though, so play cannot carry on.

THE DRAMA CONTINUES AS YENGI SCORES AGAIN! Bos lays the ball back to Hrustic on the left flank. He hits a hopeful cross towards Borello, who cannot win the header. A loose touch by Benaddi presents it to Yengi. He shoots on the turn under Luftalla and into the net!
