That is all we have from Porirua this afternoon. Thanks for tuning into Tribe's A-League Women's coverage. Until next time, I'm Dan Gread saying goodbye for now.
Newcastle will be gutted heading home. After coughing up a two goal lead in the second half, they looked like they were going to salvage a draw but the late goal from Elliott took the wind out of their sails. They really struggled to get anything going forward into the stiff breeze in the second half and had to hold off wave after wave of Wellington attack. They head home to take on Canberra next weekend.
Wellington were outstanding in the second half. The injection of Elliott and Main changed the game up the right for Wellington as they found speed and space out wide. Elliott netted early in the second half, before Longo toed one home at close range! The match looked destined for a draw before Elliott bent one into steal it! Whinham was again quality through the middle and he links with Longo down the left gave Wellington two sides of attack! The Phoenix will be happy to get the important win and get back on playoff track! They head to NSW to take on the Mariners next weekend.
What a comeback from the Phoenix! Three goals in the second half to come back and win it at the death with Elliott floating it into the back of the net from the corner!

Jale is put in the book for an over zealous celebration in front of the Newcastle defender. There is barely time to get going again on the restart and the whistle goes to seal the Wellington comeback!

THE PHOENIX SNATCH IT AT THE DEATH! IN OFF THE CORNER! The ball is sent in from the corner on the right! It finds its way bending into the back of the net as Krzyzaniak is caught out of position! She tries to go back but can only parry it into the back of the net!

SAVE! The goal kick from Newcastle is poor again! Coming back down the left edge is Elliott! She gets inside the box on the left edge and fires back on goal! Punched away by Krzyzaniak for a corner.
