Next up for the Wellington Phoenix is a visit from Adelaide United back home at Porirua Park in two week's time. Make sure you join us on Tribe for live coverage of that, and more A-League action next week. It's been a pleasure bringing you all the action from this one in Perth. For now, Harrison Ryburn signing out.
Another frustrating defeat for Paul Temple's side across the ditch. It was a closely fought affair for the vast majority, but Wellington always looked slightly sluggish, making a number of poor mistakes in possession, and struggling to carve open the same amount of chances as their opponents. They were caught out by the press at times, and put themselves under pressure with some poor defensive mistakes. Ultimately it was an own goal that cost them, and despite Olivia Fergusson scoring just her third goal of the season, she couldn't get a fourth to level it back up late on. It's a crushing blow for the Phoenix, but they now return home for a run of four home games next month, where every point will be crucial in jumping up inside the top six for a chance at finals football.
Full-time in Perth and the Wellington Phoenix lose further ground on the top six with a fourth consecutive defeat on Australian soil. It was all level at the break, but Tiana Jaber couldn't help but slice the ball into the back of her own net, handing Perth the lead with twenty minutes to play. The hosts held onto that advantage to the finish line, and Wellington's campaign for finals football hangs by a thread, with work to do through the final two months.
90+5'
CHANCE! Wall breaks away into space down the left, and whips a dangerous delivery into the middle of the box. Fergusson throws her head at it, but she can't control the effort, and it flies just over the crossbar.
90+4'
Two late changes for Perth as they try and suck more time off the clock. Morgan Roberts and Miku Sanaga enter the contest for the final moments.

Brown beats Jerez to the ball and launches it down the other end. Frantic stuff at the end here, with both sides fighting for everything. Wellington rebuild and send a long ball for McMeeken towards the box, forcing Zogg to cut across and clear away over the sideline.
90+1'
Into six minutes of injury-time, and Perth concede a throw inside their own half. Jerez takes it, but it's intercepted and the hosts come away with it again. Brown tries to get a counter-attack going, only to send a pass straight into the direction of Wall. Wellington try to break out themselves, but Main can't control Jale's pass.
