That is all we have time for in this one. Thank you for joining Tribe's live coverage of this A-League Men's fixture between Western United and Newcastle Jets. For more live action stay with us as Western Sydney Wanderers take on Central Coast Mariners, live on Tribe. Thanks for joining me. I've been Ethan Spencer, until next time.
For the Jets, they will be disappointed once again conceding three goals and losing after they couldn't create enough chances going forward. Newcastle only created five chances; that being their lowest so far this season. It is back to the drawing board for Rob Stanton and his side who will take on Perth back at home next weekend.
For Western United, they will enjoy a break before heading into another home game against Central Coast Mariners later in the month. After this result, they now sit nicely in third on the table but have played the most games in the competition so will have to maintain this form to make sure they secure a spot in the playoffs.
Western United really proved their quality in this one where they played most of the game on the front foot. The skipper Garuccio alongside Walatee caused problems down the left-hand side in the first half which proved costly for the Jets as the two opening goals for the hosts came off crosses from the left. From then, the hosts continued to dominate on the front foot as they applied continuous pressure on the Newcastle defence who in the end, couldn't cope. The third goal from Noah Botica was the sealer as it fired into the net from distance. The Jets were able to answer sharply after but couldn't create enough chances to get back into the game.
And that is full-time from Ironbark Fields! A professional display from Western United gets them all three points against the Jets!

Vidmar holts the Newcastle counter-attack by dragging down Lachie Rose and goes into the book.

Thurgate steps up to take the free kick and drives it low into the wall with his right foot. The Jets clear easily but you would expect Thurgate to do better from that range.
90+1'
Ryan Scott gives away a free kick right outside the box as he ran with the ball outside the area. A poor mistake by the keeper which gives Western United a dangerous chance from a free kick.
