A pretty entertaining affair in the end after a dreary opening half hour. Western United looked the more dominant for the majority of the match, holding onto 70% of the possession at one stage, and generally playing in the much higher areas. They pressed high too, forcing errors, and applying the pressure throughout. Again this was a performance defined by resolve from the Mariners, and they were able to frustrate in response. Kaltak led the defence superbly again, helped by his partner Sainsbury at the back. They were able to create a couple of moments on the counter-attack too, transitioning from defence to attack on numerous occasions. Ultimately it's not a bad result for them, extending their unbeaten run to three, and ending a five-game away run on a positive note.
