A very resillient effort from the Phoenix away from home this evening. It wasn't convincing by any stretch of the imagination, but they did enough to hold out Sydney's probing attack for the vast majority, particuarly as the likes of Costa and Caceres turned up the heat late on. After conceding inside the first seven minutes, it looked as if Giancarlo Italiano's men would be in for another tough night. It took a while, but they did rally to find a foothole, thanks largely to a drop in intensity from their opponents. They pushed higher, fought a lot harder off the ball, and did well to shut down space inside the penalty box. Josh Oluwayemi also came up with a couple of massive saves upon his return to the starting eleven to save the day late on, and Italiano will be happy with the performance the result to end their losing run.
