The second half was a little more evenly contested, but with the introduction of the Jets substitutes, they took control of the game once more. It finally brought reward as they hit the front again through a fine finish from Clayton Taylor, but again were unable to preserve their lead, as the Glory got impact from their own bench. Joel Anasmo was the man to spark things, and with Adam Taggart persevering inside the box, it enabled Lachlan Wales to tap home for a goal on Glory debut. It was a cruel concession for the Jets, who for long periods didn't look like having their line breached, but were ultimately made to pay for failing to bury the game at the other end of the park.
