That is all we have from AAMI Park. Thanks for tuning into Tribe's A-League coverage. Until next time, I'm Dan Gread saying goodbye for now.
Back to the drawing board for Perth. While they had chances in the first half, the second half was fairly average and much of the same they put up earlier in the season. They lacked go forward up front from the midfield and even with the introductions off the bench, lacked cohesion throughout. They will head home to take on Sydney FC next weekend.
City will be pleased to get the win this evening. It stops the rot and puts them back into the playoff picture. With the injuries plauging the side at the moment, they can take plenty of heart and confidence that they were able to battle out and shut out Perth in the end. Wong was excellent, as was Rahmani in the first half. The reintroduction of Tilio also made a big difference to the City structure. The Melbourne Derby is up next week for them.
A very uneventful second half in Melbourne and it is the hosts that come away with the win off the back of the first-half super strike from Wong. After a first half with plenty of chances at both ends, the second stanza was the opposite. Both sides struggled to go forward and the defence of the teams was solid enough to snuff out most attacks.
Taggart is booked at the full-time whistle, presumably for dissent.
A. Taggart

City hack a ball up the right edge. Mourdoukoutas puts a long one back up the left! Perth bring it down and float a ball in towards the back post! City head it back towards the top of the box where Taggart then fouls a defender! The free kick goes the way of City. Beach takes his time and sends it forward. That will do it!
90+3'
Perth win a free kick as Mrcela is fouled. Everyone is forward for Glory as Sail takes the free kick near halfway. Out towards the right side of the box but headed away by Politidis and into touch. Gomulka chips a ball back towards the top of the box but Atkinson handles it again.
90+2'
Glory go back for Sail who launches it long. Too long over the top of Taggart and Ferreyra. Beach handles it at the top of his box. He is in absolutely no hurry to get things going again.
