That wraps things up here on Tribe, thanks for joining us. A huge away win for the Wellington Phoenix after being behind at the break against a wasteful Macarthur side. We've got more A-League Men's action on the way on Wednesday when Adelaide host Auckland in a top-of-the-table clash. See you then.
So Macarthur drop to 6th with this defeat and remain on 21 points from 14 games. They welcome Melbourne City to Campbelltown on Saturday. Wellington Phoenix rise a place to 9th but close the gap on the top six to four points having played a game less than Macarthur and Sydney FC. The Phoenix are back in New Zealand next with a home game against Central Coast Mariners on Saturday in Christchurch.
This was a huge win for the Wellington Phoenix after a tough January with injuries, defeats and player departures. Following on from the hard-fought draw with Sydney last week, the Nix dug deep and hung in there against a decent Macarthur side before taking their chances when they came on the break. Kosta Barbarouses once again showed why he's so crucial to the way the Phoenix set up and play, while Hideki Ishige's assist for fellow Japanese import Kazuki Nagasawa's equaliser was superb. Isaac Hughes and Scott Wootton defended cross after cross, while Alby Kelly-Heald has surely cemented his spot as the no.1 keeper for the next run of games with his performance tonight.
A frustrating evening at home again then for Macarthur FC. They lacked the ability to kill this game off despite dominating almost every statistic from an attacking perspective. Alby Kelly-Heald made several fine saves and kept the Phoenix in the game but the entire Macarthur attack were guilty of some wasteful finishing too. You always felt a one-goal lead was risky and so it proved, as Macarthur were opened up for the equaliser before Filip Kurto sloppily gave away a penalty with Kosta Barbarouses running wide away from goal. Marin Jakolis struggled to have too much impact coming on as a half-time substitute, while Jed Drew also faded after the Phoenix reverted to five at the back in the second half.
A huge win for the Wellington Phoenix away from home tonight. They turn around a one-goal deficit at the break to win 1-2 against Macarthur. Despite dominating the game and creating chance after chance, Macarthur go home empty-handed after failing to add to Jake Hollman's first-half strike. Kazuki Nagasawa's first Phoenix goal levelled things up before Kosta Barbarouses won then converted a penalty to become only the fourth player to reach 100 A-League goals.
90+6'
Luke Brattan drills a diagonal cross in from deep for Macarthur. Isaac Hughes does superbly to head the ball away and gets fouled in the process by Walter Scott catching him in the ribs. Free kick to the Phoenix.
90+5'
OVER! Marin Jakolis bends the corner in again where the ball is headed clear by Fin Conchie. Jake Hollman gathers 30 yards out and looks to find the roof of the net. He can only lift a strike up over the crossbar. Alby Kelly-Heald will not rush this goal kick for the Phoenix.
90+5'
Macarthur are pumping the ball into the Phoenix penalty area at every opportunity now. Walter Scott fires a cross in from the left. Hideki Ishige sticks a leg out to help it behind for another corner.
90+4'
SAVE! A deep cross from the right is helped behind by Alby Kelly-Heald diving acrobatically and tipping the ball away. The corner comes in from Marin Jakolis and Walter Scott has a free header at the near post six yards out. Scott can only tamely head straight at Kelly-Heald.
