The Jets have come from behind to beat Macarthur for their first win of the season, thanks to a Adams' double and a penalty save from Scott. Make sure you join us again on Tribe tomorrow night for an A-League triple header. It's been a pleasure bringing you all the action from Campbelltown tonight. For now, Harrison Ryburn signing out.
Next up for Macarthur is a trip to AAMI Park for a repeat of the Australia Cup final with Melbourne Victory. How they respond from their first defeat of the season will be intresting, whilst Newcastle have a week off with the bye.
A shock defeat for Macarthur in contrast, who were expected to pick up three points tonight, particuarly after opening the scoring. They paid the price for being sluggish though, and struggled to find the same tempo that saw them put six past Perth last week. After being forced to play largely off the counter in the opening stanza, they came out and took control of the majority of the possession in the second. It led to a number of chances, including a late penalty, but they couldn't quite put it together and were punished by Eli Adams down the other end of the field. The frustration shows at the final whistle as Uskok, Jurman, and Brattan all get involved in some push and shove with the Jets players at the final whistle, and they've come crashing back down to Earth.
A big win for Robert Stanton and his young side this evening. They weren't anything special for much of the contest, but came up with three game-changing moments in the second half as both Eli Adams and Ryan Scott rose to the occasion. It was all about pressing high and dictating the game in the first half, but they ran out of steam after the first 25 minutes, and lacked cohesion going forward. Defence was the aim of the game in the second, but they still managed two goals, as Adams and Gibson combined for two goals in four minutes. Macarthur looked as if they were going to breach the Jets defence late on, but they scrambled for everything, and Scott really stood up with a penalty save and a number of other crucial stops. That should provide them with some confidence moving forward, showing impressive character and resolve.
Fulltime in Campbelltown and the Newcastle Jets have come from behind to shock Macarthur. A pinpoint delivery from Jed Drew provided Marin Jakolis with the opening goal to edge the Bulls ahead inside the first twenty minutes, but Eli Adams had different plans after the break. The winger combined with Ben Gibson for two well-taken goals in the space of four minutes, and the Jets were able to hold on for victory, thanks largely to a huge penalty save from Ryan Scott in injury-time. Macarthur crash back down to Earth after their 6-1 win last week as a result, whilst the Jets have their first three points on the board for the new season.

Macarthur will finish with a corner off the right, and this is their final chance. Kurto comes up for it, and the ball is whipped into the back post for Uskok. He can't pick out the back of the net though, and the Jets scramble away, before the follow-up delivery is collected by Scott.
90+3'
Eli Adams departs having scored the two goals for Newcastle, and Stanton hugs him as he comes across the sideline, with Phillip Cancar on for the final seconds.

SAVED BY SCOTT! The keeper comes to Newcastle's rescue! Germain steps up to take the penalty, and strikes it on his right foot towards the bottom right corner. It's hit with plenty of power, but Scott guesses the right way, and the keeper gets down low to parry away. Newcastle clear the rebound, before running back to celebrate with Scott. What a moment for the Jets in injury-time!
