That is all we have time for after this intense clash between Macarthur and Melbourne City, where Valere Germain's strike is the difference between the two sides. Thank you for joining us for Tribe's live coverage of this A-League Men's match. I've been Ethan Spencer, until next time.
For City, they will be disappointed to not take at least a point away from the Bulls in an even contest. They started the better out of the two teams but weren't able to create any clear-cut chances. After conceding the goal, they made changes to try and bolster their attacking threat and threw everything at the defence but at the end of the day, couldn't get through the Bulls defensive unit. City have the week off but will return to action as they face Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium in Round 18.
The Bulls will be proud of their efforts tonight after a tight battle against a solid Melbourne City outfit. They now climb ahead of City into third on the table, slotting in front of City who drop to fourth. This is the first time they have won at home since October so they will be pleased they can put that record behind them and push forward. Macarthur now look ahead to Auckland next weekend, where they will cross the ditch for an all-important fixture at Go Media Stadium. A huge week in preparation for the Macarthur Bulls.
It was a tight affair as both sides looked like they could have taken the result after a tense 90 minutes. Macarthur started the second half with plenty of intent going forward as they created promising chances. They eventually were able to take the lead through Germain's effort off a smart Jed Drew pass which gave them the upper hand going into the final stage of the game. City threw everything they could at the Macarthur defence late on but it just wasn't enough to take any points back to AAMI Park.
And that is full-time! The Bulls pick up all three points at home through Valere Germain's 62nd-minute strike over Melbourne City!
90+5'
Tilio picks the ball up at his feet and drives down the right-hand edge. He beats Bernardo and attempts to cut a pass inside but it is cleared by the Bulls defence.
90+3'
Macarthur look to waste as much time as possible in stoppage time with two subs. Jakolis and German make way for Sawyer and Ikonomidis who will try and help see this one out.
