Western will be disappointed with the result tonight. Even though they frustrated Adelaide at times throughout the match, they were unable to find any real cohesion up front. Ibusuki tried hard up front but lacked help. They were hard done by with a clear penalty waived away in the second half as Walatee went down inside the box with clear contact from behind. Outside of Sutton in goal who was outstanding, Thurgate was the best on show for Western United tonight. He was involved in everything on both sides of the ball through the middle of the park. With the international break on the horizon, they will take on Perth in a couple of weeks time.
