Innings Break
It was a tough afternoon for the New Zealand bowlers as Sri Lanka carted them all around the ground for 20 fours and 12 sixes in a brilliant display of attacking batting. Jacob Duffy was once again the pick of the bowlers with 1/30 off his four overs while Daryl Mitchell was brilliant in the 19th over, which went for just six runs. A few drop catches didn't help the Black Caps' cause but on a ground with shortish boundaries they will feel they have the artillery to chase down 219. Can they do it? Stay with us to find out as the second innings is set to begin shortly.

Match starts at 12:15 AM

We are just about set to get underway. Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis will open the batting for Sri Lanka. Nissanka will take strike. Matt Henry will open the bowling for New Zealand.
The teams have made their way out to the middle as the sun pokes through in Nelson. Before we get underway we will have a Minute's Silence for Sen Sgt Lyn Fleming who tragically passed away yesterday.
Mitchell Santner won the toss for New Zealand and has elected to Bowl first. They are unchanged. Sri Lanka have made two changes with Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Chamindu Wickramasinghe both coming in for Kamindu Mendis and Matheesha Pathirana.
UPDATE: (13:10 Local, 0:10 GMT): The toss will take place at 1.15pm with the match to start at 1.45pm. The match remains 20-overs-a-side.
TOSS DELAYED! There has been some overnight rain in Nelson and the outfield is still a tad wet so the toss has been delayed. There will be an umpire's inspection at 1.00pm.
Fresh off a strong 121-run stand in the first match, Sri Lankan openers Kusal Mendis and Pathum Nissanka provided another brisk start but this time their partnership was brought to a halt on 32 when Mendis was caught off Mitchell Santner for 10. Nissanka backed up his career-best 90 with a handy 37 off 28 and while Kusal Perera found form with an entertaining 48 off 35, Sri Lanka's brittle middle order failed to seize control of the run chase. Jacob Duffy was the standout once again with the ball for the Black Caps as he struck regularly early in his overs in a brilliant spell which netted 4/15. Santner offered no pace to the Sri Lankan batsmen and was awfully hard to get away as he provided quality support to Duffy with 2/22. Zak Foulkes completed the rout with the wicket of Binura Fernando as Sri Lanka lost their last seven wickets for 14 runs. Despite being a dead rubber, there is plenty for both sides to play for ahead of the ODI series which begins on Sunday in Wellington.
New Zealand took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series with a dominant 45-run win in the second T20I in Mount Maunganui on Monday night. After a rusty batting performance in the first match, where they were bailed out by half centuries to Michael Bracewell and Daryl Mitchell, the Black Caps' top order found their groove with Tim Robinson and Mark Chapman posting a pair of 40s to push the hosts up to 82/2 in the 10th over. Sri Lanka squeezed back through the middle overs but New Zealand were boosted to an imposing 186/5 off the back of a whirlwind unbeaten 41 off 19 balls by Mitch Hay.
