So then, will the Thunder be able to chase this total down, or have the Sixers managed to get just enough runs on the board? Stay tuned as we will be back shortly with the run-chase.

Right then, the umpires and the players are making their way out to the middle, live action is moments away.
So, the Thunder have won the bat flip and decided to field first. They have one forced change for this contest with Jason Sangha coming in for injured Oliver Davies. Meanwhile, the Sixers are unchanged from their previous game.
The Challenger of BBL14 has turned into a Sydney Smash. The cross-town rivals faced off against each other twice in the competition, while their previous match-up was washed off due to rain just about a week ago, their clash in December at the ENGIE Stadium was a nail-biting thriller where the Sixers just got across the line on the final ball of the match. So, will the Thunder be able to settle the scores tonight and book their place in the Grand Final, or will it be the Sixers who continue to dominate their rivals and slot themselves into yet another BBL Final? Regardless of what transpires in this match, one thing is certain, the cross-town rivalry is certainly going to go up a notch tonight. Stay tuned for toss and team updates.
Meanwhile, the Thunder are coming off a fantastic win over the Stars in the Knockout. They had finished third on the ladder which is an incredible turnaround given that they had finished dead last in the previous edition. In the Knockout which was a certain elimination match, the Thunder batting first posted 135 runs on a tricky surface at the ENGIE Stadium. Defending their total, they got wickets in clumps and rolled over the Stars for just 114 runs. McAndrew was the top performer with the ball as he registered a five-fer and helped the Thunder book their place into the Challenger tonight. The Thunder won't have the home advantage tonight but will be keen to defeat their cross-town rivals and make it to the Final.
The Sixers finished second on the ladder and played the Qualifier against the Hurricanes who finished at the top. However, they lost and were slotted into this Challenger, giving them another shot at reaching the Grand Final. Bowling first, the Sixers did well to get wickets and restrict the Hurricanes to 173 runs but in reply, they were rocked early as they were reduced to 5/3 in 3.2 overs. However, contributions from Patterson (48), Silk (57), and Shaw (33*) helped them come back into the contest but it wasn't enough as they fell short by 12 runs in the end. Hosting the Challenger tonight, the Sixers will look to make the most of the home conditions and aim to feature in yet another BBL Final.
