Egypt should take some heart from their showing tonight. Yes, the game got away from them in the end but they had clear chances and if they had done better with some of those it could have been tougher for Croatia in the latter stages. Obviously, they miss Mohamed Salah, but Trezeguet, Marmoush and Fathi (off the bench) offered a threat going forwards. Two much improved performances for the Egyptians after a disappointing AFCON campaign.

So Croatia will be taking the ACUD Cup home after an entertaining match tonight. We headed into the sheds even at half time, before the away side showed their class in the second half with some fine finishing that put the game to bed. Modric has taken home the man of the match award after two assists in his 60 minute performance, but Majer was equally impressive in attacking areas and topped his run out off with a good goal at the end. Kramaric also looked sharp off the bench with creative touches and clever footwork. A solid performance for one of Euro 2024s hopefuls.

Egypt on the ball in the dying stages here. They have numbers forward and try to slip a ball through to Sherif but Juranovic steps in to win the ball back and then earn a foul in the process.
